kanye is pretty popular down here, i mean not on the radio, but 'college dropout' is a best seller in HMV so yeah....

mc'knight bringing out a new album soon, he got a new single, i have it somewhere. Brian Mc'Knight is a genuine talent 'one last cry' was one of his best song, extrememly talented songwriter, producer, musician etc

matt leave blackfriday alone be nice to the retard.

lol well let's see

ja rule - venni, vetti veci.....holla holla was the only good song, and that was because of the beat

ja rule - rule 3:16....straight ass crack

ja rule - pain is love......where's the hip hop songs he promised???

ja rule - blood in my eye....worst. album. ever

ja rule.......R.U.L.E - new york was good because of jadakiss, wonderful was good because of r kelly......thats it

i just don't really like rappers who rap about things they have never lived and claim that they have lived it...lying bastards

lmao!

Venni Vetti Vecci: A tight ass album! He was very consistent! And why do you only like the tracks he releases as singles? There are plenty of hot tracks in this album man, you have to look deeper.

3:16: Meh.

Pain Is Love: Livin It Up is a great feel good track. You ask where "the hip hop is" on this album. Hip hop is a culture. I dont think Ja can incorporate break dancing, graffiti etc into a song of his. Maybe you mean rap?

The Last Temptation: Shit.

Blood In My Eye: People are on his dick for being all pop. They wanted him to go back making "street" records, as in VVV. So when he does, people still knock him. Make up your minds people.

RULE: I cant believe you said "I Wonder" is one of the best tracks on the album. That song is trash, and you know it. This is a solid album with some exceptions. Again im doubting whether you have even heard the album in full because you only seem to "like" the singles he releases.

-------------

BTW - Can you give me FIVE quotes where Ja Rule is saying something thats not true (i.e. to support your claim hes a studio gangster)... Im not disagreeing with you, i just want to see what you come up with.

mr attkins dug himself a grave with all that 'ya'll wanna see pac come back, its here nigga its here'

i like holla holla because of the beat i have heard all the other songs in their entirety, i purchased this album when it came out.

i tend to like everything r kelly has a guest appearance on because he has an amazing voice.

the actual song 'R.U.L.E' is horrible, how does he expect to jack a jagged edge beat and totally rip their chorus off...pfft

yeah livin it up was a great track i'll give ya that

off the top of my head...

'i got a semi-automatic that spits next time if you talk'

'we take pride at airing our prey out leaving them laid up dead'

'put a knife to ya wind pipe'

'why should i talk when i got guns to speak for me'

'choke them niggas like roaches then flip em flip em'

i also don't respect the fact that all we get from murder inc (the inc) wateva, is ja rule and ashanti, and lloyd...that's probably why vita left...vita was pretty good....but i mean like they've got dudes like cadallac tah and black child who are hungry, who (are crap) but more credible than ja rule...why won't he give them a chance to shine...caddilac tah had that song on the fast the furious soundtrack, apparantly a single, but we didn't get no album from him....ja rule is holding his own people down because he wants to shine....

you have people like twista who stay true...kamikaze was very successful so now his working on bringing his crew 'the speedknot mobstaz' up, their current single 'church bus on the move' is hot......a

nd you got T.I who after experiencing mainstream success is working to put his crew, the P.S.C (pimp squad clique) on point. Big Kuntry's single 'throwback' is hot....

ludacris is extremetly popular now, 'red light district' is already platinum even though 'get back' isn't even in the top 10 on soundscan yet...anyway he recently put out albums from shawnna and I-20, and is working on releases from bobby V, Field Mobb, tity boi etc....his putting his people on.

ja rule's a bitch in my eyes because of this.

and 'hip hop' is a culture yes......but 'rap' is the commercial, watered down version of 'hip hop' and yeh all ja rules songs are 'rap' songs....now don't try argue with that because we always hear people like jigga, ll, nas etc saying things like 'i make hip hop music' bla bla

mr attkins dug his own grave with all that 'ya'll wanna see pac come back, its here nigga its here' bullshit

I really don't believe you purchased VVV - or perhaps you're just one of them fickle hip hop fans that is just into the club bangers, because there are far better songs that Holla Holla on that album.
Secondly, you knock Ja rule for going down the "pop" route yet 'I Wonder' is totally that, yet you love it for some reason. Hypocrisy at its finest. How about you make up your mind.

Cadillac Tah and Black Child are shit house. Period.

Twista's crew is not gonna blow
Neither is T.I's crew.
And frankly, neither has D-12. Sure they operate as a group, but why havent they put out any individual releases? Im pretty sure Tah released an album but it totally flopped, which is why we dont hear much from him. And you say "atleast hes credible" yet hes related to Ja. lol..

I dont see the similarities between any Jagged Edge song and R.U.L.E. And i doubt any chorus of Jagged Edge goes:

'They cool but they aint R.U.L.E
They do but dont do it like me.. nobody nobody"

EVen if thats the case, Ja probably sampled the beat. (BTW Ja doesnt produce).

Im not getting into those quotes you posted up because you know yourself that nearly every rapper does that..

what the fuck? lol

fickle hip hop fan? i think not, i grew up with this music for your info

why do you find it hard to believe i purchased VVV? lol 'given holla holla was a good song, track 2 and 'lets ride' were allright too, the rest were about the beats.

tah is more credible than ja yes.

i like R&B man i love R Kelly, i like all diff types of music, i like the osng because of R Kelly NOT ja rule.......i don't like when a rapper goes from being 'street' to singing with ashanti

you don't see any similarities between a jagged edge song and ja rule, probably because 'you only listen to the singles'

album: hard
artist: jagged edge
song: They Ain't J.E

EXACTLY the same beat (and yes i know ja doesn't produce).....

chorus goes something like 'they cool but they aint J.E'

nearly every rapper yeh and most rappers that do that are fake bitches just like ja rule.

d-12 has enjoyed multi-platinum success and two number 1 singles in the US......don't you know about proof's mixtape 'i miss the hip hop shop'....or bizarre's solo mixtape? proof has an album on the horizon as well

Tah did not release a solo album, maybe a mixtape, not an LP

P.S.C are all over atlanta right now.

Chruch Bus On The Move' is getting heavy airplay over in the southern states of the US.

oh but im a fickle hip hop fan i forgot lol

i dont see how you can say Tah is credible when he is Ja Rule's brother. In what sense do you mean "credible"? I dont understand.

D-12 are only achieving multi platinum status and number one hits because of Eminem. Face it man, although it's a shit song, 'My Band' is totally true. They would be nothing without Eminem. And who cares if Proof is poised to release something? He hasnt released anything (apart from mixtapes). Listen to "Malcolm X" by Royce.. then youll know what i mean.

sometimes people start thinking their 'gangstas' be affiliation, tah has done a bit of dirt in his life, jeff hasn't.

Yes that is true and that's why they satirise it in 'my band' i've heard 'malcom x' nothing special...even though i like royce....but anyway you said 'd12' hasn't 'blown up' when in fact they have, they are known everywhere now, and yeh because of eminem, but still, they have 'blown up' the concert i went to of theirs was packed, it was also made clear that eminem would not be there.

none of these hopless cases actually has anything to really talk about anyway. i much prefer artists like Public Enemy and Grandmaster Flash who were actually giving a social commentary on their lives and things around them. Same goes fo r NWA et al. Modern rap is a fucking joke. Rappers these days are just posers. I mean Jay Z and Linkin Park FFS. could it get ANY gayer?

^ great artists, 'it takes a nation of millions to hold us back' is always in my stereo, but the modern one's aren't ALL bad (perhaps the best examples would be black thought and mos def)

the whole 'rap' culture is dead really, ESPECIALLY 'gangsta' rap. It's all about the mindless commercialism these days (with some notable exceptions). Its also why Ice Cube's newer albums are nowhere near as good as his earlier ones. The rise to prominence of Eminem marked the turning point - i must be about the only one whos always seen him as an annoying whiny bitch
