not a bad list, 'yesterday' should of been higher, and 'redemption song' by bob marley would of been in my top 10

IMO there is NO WAY 'hey ya' and 'lose yourself' are better than 'sexual healing' NO WAY!

hey atleast i dont charge people 12 dollars an issue to tell them that their taste in music sucks
although maybe i should...

can i please have some proof that rolling stones mag tells you that your taste in music sucks, something like 'if you do not like this then your taste in music sucks badly' etc

Yeah, i think as far as popular music goes, its quite a good list. Of course a few inclusions and exclusions that i can see, but overall its better than most of these shitty lists they RS and NME etc come up with.

i wasnt talking specifically about rolling stone.

That list looks pretty dodge. I know the Beatles were good and all, but come on.

mojo is my fave music mag, so true what dicky said about rs being nuetral and giving everything three stars. i NEVER read their reviews. actually i dont really read reviews at all, i tend to just listen to music for myself?? i guess i judge a mag on their interviews, and rolling stones interviews lately have just been regurgitated press kits. lame.

i still like the list, tho i get sick of seeing the standard-issue beatles and nirvana tracks

ughhh smells like teen spirit is such a boring nirvana song. i don't really think nirvana belong in the top 50 at all but at least pick a more interesting song if you must.

there's some shit that should've been way lower than it was. like 'kashmir' below 'i still haven't found what i'm looking for'? yeah right

They may have already been said, but hell.
I thought it was a "strange coincidence" that "Like a ROLLING STONE" was song #1, then the ROLLING STONES were #2. Don't get me wrong, they're cool and all.

apparently less than 5% of the greatest songs of 'all time' (or at least the past 5 or so decades) were written after 1990. i guess people no longer write songs that are any good. almost 20% of the songs written after 1990 on that list were from nirvana. so i guess you need to be nirvana to write good songs these days....
