Love Actually was a favourite in the house last night.... I know my girlfriend has a strange attraction to Crazy/Beautiful, 10 Things I Hate About You and 2 Weeks Notice.... and she loves Blue Crush because 1) She loves surfing, and 2) "Matt Davis is sex"

So thats whats usually shown in our place when a romantic night in front of the telly is planned..

Might just resurrect this thread since I finally got around to seeing My Sassy Girl, great stuff.

My faves in no order:

In the Mood for Love (Chinese.. absolutely beautiful)
My Sassy Girl (Korean)
Casablanca
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Before Sunrise/Sunset
It's a Wonderful Life
When Harry Met Sally
My Girl
The Man in the Moon (very similar to My Girl in a way)

Erotic- Samsara (Tibetan)

Hated- Gone with the Wind - 4 hours is too long for a movie

I can't believe no one has mentioned the notebook - that was highly romantic
also has ne one seen The Delicatessan which was the film Jean Pierre Jeunet made before Amelie. I haven't seen it but would like to know if it is worth seeing.
I watched Amelie again yesterday it has to go down as an all time classic

Yeah Delicatessan is good, that + City of Lost Children are MUCH more warped than Amelie though. Hilarious though. Jean Pierre Jeunet also has another movie out late 2004/early 2005 called "A Very Long Engagement". It's a war movie, supposedly a beautiful love story as well.

What was that three part series about four gay men and angels?

It wasn't exactly romance, but it was fucking trippy.

Casablanca by a long way. It is a different kind of romantic movie. The ending is amazing, Hope I can produce a Rick like speech, if need be, it was amazing.
