steverulz55 Member Joined May 8, 2004 Messages 40 Gender Male HSC 2004 Aug 31, 2004 #2 multiply by cis @, where @ is your degrees of rotation anticlockwise rotating by 90deg anticlockwise is equivalent to multiplying by cis(pi/2) = i ; clockwise is cis(-pi/2) = -i therefore to rotate by pi/3, multiply by cis(pi/3)
