So who got a consideration for one?
I know a few who got considered and received letters today but final decisions will be made after release of results. They're hanging on, right now.
I want to know, did everyone receive a notification saying that they have received their application.

You get letters or emails from the institutions to which you applied a scholarship from

Yeh.
So it should say that you are being "considered". They will make a final decision in Feb. so thats not very exciting.

Academic Achievements Award. or sumin like tht. $4000 on whatever we want. ^O^

I got the letter from USyd too... but yeh, isn't it just their confirmation letter? Everyone who applied would have got it.

In the end we all have to wait for the results to be released anyway... so yeh, nothing too exciting....

Are they 100% sure you are getting one?
I thought that they allow notify you after the results are out.

This is like a special scholarship that is distributed to most schools. The dux of each school gets it I think, or whoever applies

Yeow! I got a letter from the Australian International Hotel School last week notifying me of my scholarship. I was so stoaked. I'm heaps not worried about the rest of my exams now... really takes the edge off.

Appartantly if you get 99.95 or over, Sydney Uni sends you a letter saying you're accepted into any course for free!

its called the USYD Scholarships for Outstanding Achievement in the HSC
for people who get 99.95 or 100.00

Hmm I got one from the Education (Teaching) scholarships people to say "You havent done this" or whatever. HOpefully I get a call next week to say Ive got an interview.

Haha i got that too, but i also got phone sex with them regarding what i'd missed.

me too!!!! except i found out in september when i finished school.
still hoping for the university of sydney scholarhsip but....dream course there.

And that scholarship offer pretty much covers the cost of any course (the amount is above any HECS band, and 99.95 gets you into any course)

So, essentially it is true.
