Its about 2 months to the school certificate. Just wondering everyones general thoughts, any of you studied yet? what did you study? This is just general thread on the school certificate 2009.

im just doing a teeny bit of revision notes here and there for science, making sure i know my math formulas (or formulae...whatever), doing some practise on past sc papers (writing for english is what worries me, can never make it under the time limit) etc.

just being your typical asian kid

but i think if i didn't have any assessment tasks from school i'll be able to "study" more
assessment tasks are a bitch

Not studying for a long time. Look at the past papers, they aren't worth studying 2 months before the test. In my opinion anyway. Don't stress. According to several people's advice, they regret studying hardcore. I'm probably going to just do one past paper in each topic and go over history, geography and history. My yearlies, core exams and school certificate are about 1 week after the other so I'll study when it gets closer.

Yeah I have yearlies a week before the SC so I don't think the will be getting much attention.

Also Call of Duty .

Haha I didn't even realise that it's in two months. Wow I'm observant.
And no way have I started studying... I've already got so many assignments to do (mainly from Social Sciences... why did I choose Society and Culture for next year! I'm going to drown in assignments!)

No idea when I'll start studying. I usually leave to the last minute, but hopefully I won't for the SC.

Just reading over notes. I really suck at History.

It think I'll do well in:
English / Math / Science

I think our particular year group will do well.
Our trials are in... 5 weeks, I think?

I didn't study for it and ended up getting 5/6 subjects into a Band 6.

It's pretty easy to be honest, I don't know if they just made it like that so everyone would pass.
But if you study you'll get all Band 6's for sure, maybe even everything >97. LOL.

Yeah, i was told that they made it for everyone to pass too.

Heck, if you've got some natural talent then you can just walk in with no study and probably end up with all band 6's

no. sc doesnt mean jack unless ur dropping out, studying was a waste

I havn't studied as of yet. Been contstantly bogged down with Assignments, Sport, and Work. >.<

I wish to ask why so many people are stressing over the SC. Guys, just read your textbook, notebook and go over some stuff you have trouble with the night before the SC and you're fine

I'm just being cynical, i'm in agreement with you. SC is nothing to get all bothered about.

I got Band 5 (87) in the English School Certificate, and the school prevent me from doing English advanced. So yes, the School Certificate is important for some students.
