Let me put it to you all this way.

My scenario:

a) Answered it
b) ""
c) Kinda answered it well
d) Got it (I hope :D)
e) WTF? Only point I made was he tells us that we don't have to go out looking for journeys, that they might come by chance... Then I wrote utter BS! (was my point even right?)
f) Wrote like 3/4 a page of utter shit

All in all, I'm screwed!

Kind regards,

Nick

I didnt leave enough time for the 5 marker (because i did this section last...) and wrote barely anything for it....arghhh/ hoping to scrape one mark from it. I also wrote a fair bit of crap for some of the smaller mark questions... hoping it doesnt bring my mark down too much because i think i did well in the other sections of the paper
Ditto...damn comprehension!!

Am I the only person that understood text three?

What I gathered from it was that it was about some guy travelling through the landscape (or something to that extent). The whole "horizon" comparison was suggesting that the journey never ends. The rest was going on about all the different obstacles you come across - the journey is not linear, and how, in the end, with hindsight, it all makes sense.

Re: wow the short answers were quite difficult

Tell me about it. I was pressed for time, and I stupidly spent more time on the 3 mark questions than I did on the 5 mark one. :S

I did this second - tackling the essay first - and the whole time I was stressed about the story, which I hadn't really prepared for.

Urk - I always do so bad in the reading section. Oh well, onto Paper Two... *sighs heavily*

Anyone got a horrible story to make me feel better about how badly I did?

yeah i found them hard too...def the worst part of the paper!!...i left them til last...which prob wasn;t the best thing to do...i only left myself about 25-30 mins max to do it...and then stared at the paper for ages wondering what the hell it was on about!!

It's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one who didn't ace this section! :)

I wrote about that, but that was all I understood/guessed accurately.

Yep section one was really hard to answer in full time. I attempted this section first and ran 10 min overtime into section 2 and am still not sure if I answered the last part thoroughly.

I ran out of time having attempted this section last. The texts were really hard this year for section 1. By far the hardest, but the fairest part of the paper.

Comments on the other sections will be in the various threads.
