How did you find this section? Which question did you answer and was it what you were expecting?
What format did you use to respond to the question (eg: report, essay)?

What extended response question did you pick?

q27 or q28? l personally picked q27 because l felt l knew most about that question and had case study material to back up my information.

Re: extended response

27 was much easier to link ... I did report format and used all the external sources of change as my headings and talked about reasons for expansion within in them through case studies lol

Re: extended response

Was expecting B MGMT and CHANGE (cos the last time it was on was in 08), but didn't expect ER to be an option as well. Did Q27 simply because you could write bucketloads. Wrote in Business report style.

Changing nature of M -> Due to changing, global expansion is taken. General overview.
Economic -> Cushioning econ cycles, Exploiting economies of scale
Financial -> Inc sales + finding new markets (B's are enabled to cos of larger financial sources), Exploiting economies of scale
Geographical -> Diversification
Legal -> Regulatory differences, tax minimisation
Political -> Regulatory differences, tax minimisation
Social -> Diversification (meeting needs in different O/S markets)
Technological -> Access to new tech

Cases: Qantas, Lend Lease, Apple (iPhone was all over news, so why not :D), Billabong (mention), Harvey Norman (mention), BHP (mention).
Wrote two booklets. Have generally smaller writing (10-12 words/line). Fingers crossed that even tho i did rush at the end, i did alright!

Re: extended response

CNOM - Globalisation, Technology (Link to Next Para) - Overvew
Economic - > cushioning cycles (boom, bust) - take advantage of these conditions
Social - > Diversify products (asia, less business seats Qantas, higher tech levels, different foods, entertainment)
Legal - > minimise tax and risk, regulations
Political - > minimise tax and risk, isolation of australia in to comparison.

Yeah I ran out of time too and only wrote 4 pages w big handwriting!!! Also, I only used 4 sources of change with 4 reasons for expansion... is this suffiecent??
I think I'll get a bad mark for this section :'(

Re: extended response

Lol everyone's saying they wrote >10 pages for each essay... the marker only gets 15 minutes with each essay.
