Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

hi kids. :)
I've been to Woolley Building, but what's the deal with the different letters in front of the rooms? e.g. how is N different to S?

One free internets with the correct (and helpful) answer.

Yep. A fair few buildings (Quad, Woolley, Anderson Stuart) have N or S, and sometimes E or W, in front of their room numbers. I assume it's to help people find the rooms more easily.

Is there an alternative entrance to Woolley if I need to be in the south part then? When I asked a girl for directions she sort of mentioned it, but I told her I needed to be in north section so she just showed me the main entrance.

And thanks guys. :)

i don't think so but then, i'm pretty challenged when it comes to these things. finding the old geology building on wednesday last week would have been like watching a blind cat walk into things for bystanders. i was so lost :/ and in hindsight its dead easy to find.

Bugger I forgot to put money in my bank account, I'm gonna have to wrangle the copy centre ladies into taking cash, again. They're gonna hate me by the time I graduate.

it all links up anyway. the N and S are separate to the numbers, so there isnt a N325 and an S325 just a 325 that happens to be S. the alternate entry is on the south side it's more useful if you ever have to be on the lower floor.

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

The co-op line asround 1pm last Friday wasn't too bad. But the UCC remained long as usual, I love it how everyone in the "pre-paid" line was shocked (or to some extent) when they saw a second line in the front. Hate to be those suckers lining up for hours (I only lined up for 15 mins :D)

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

I know of two alternate Woolley entrances if I'm not mistaken. Allow me to consult my files and I shall come back with an answer.

EDIT: Besides the main one there's an entrance down in the alley thing adjacent to the Griffith Taylor Building. There's another entrance in that engineering courtyard. I dunno if they're locked. The end.

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

I hate Woolley. grr.
I went in and couldn't get back out for some reason.

I've also come to realise tutorials are worst than lectures and you can't even skip those.

I'll go check out the alternative entrances tomorrow. :)

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

I heard a first-year on the train this morning complaining about referencing. "You have to full like, do the page numbers and stuff, it's so gay". Suck it up, petal.
