What's the topic?
"People often say that conformism is deeply rooted in East Asian culture- so deeply that conformism has been the norm in China for 'thousands of years.' Does the evidence from ancient and early China that you have read so far for the unit support that view?"

Which should be ok, except we can't use any additional readings, only what we've done in the past 4 weeks, which is mainly poetry :S

So I have to interpret ancient Chinese poetry and philisophical ramblings to answer it :S

Have you read Confucious? If you're having trouble deriving meaning from the readings you could search the net for others' interpretations and just nick them and reword them.

Actually, this link here talks exactly about what you are asking!

We are specially NOT allowed to do research. We can only go from what we've read as part of the assigned reading and what we think.

I am discussing "the norm" still, I've got good ideas, I"m just not sure how to use the texts to support them, I'm not used to this whole uni essay thing, lol.

waf: Yeah, Confucius is part of it. We have to be careful doing that, she caught people doing exactly that for our workbook thing, she told us people try to do this year after year and sh has got very good at catching them, and she wants us to be the first year who doesn't try plagerise that way, lol.

I shall persevere. :) I am still doing my hair now to procrastinate, haha

Hey waf, have you got the template WBS for info's G2 assignment yet? They said to wait and they'll provide a sample WBS to use for effort estimation but i'm itching to get it out of the way now.

On a more sour note, easter means i have to make up my friday labs some other time this week...*wanders off and does the pre-work*

That was for G3, which is just going to be diagrams and shit. G2 is off your own back. We're already about halfway done, using a Google doc which everyone's just throwing their work into.

Also Easter means no pidgin English COMP3520 lab to do in my own time. I think.

EDIT: You don't even necessarily have to use a WBS to get effort estimation anyway.

Ah fair go, yeah i guess a WBS will depend on which method you're gonna use anyway.

Alright i guess i can have a go at getting this started then.
