Re: Semester I 2007 - Chatter Thread!

On the news yesterday they were saying that protesters have started planning for APEC, and the idea is to get heaps and heaps and heaps of people to 'overwhelm' the police. So sounds like it'll be nice and peaceful and harmonious.

The commies came to SRC council asking for $10K to print massive glossy posters and plan protests to get arrested in at APEC, we told them to fuck off.

32/40 = 80% for world politics. Guess I didn't deserve any more, considering that I didn't even research the theory that was meant to be the focus of the essay, or the event that the essay was about.

My totals thus far:

MKTG3117 - 35/40 - 88%
CLAW1001 - 21/25 - 84%
GOVT1406 - 41/50 - 82%
ACCT1001 - 11/20 - 55% :(

Little wonder he won a place on the union board, with that friendly attitude.

Lol?

I think most people found SCLG1002 more interesting than SCLG1001. You're not doing quite as many subject areas in second semester, so you can look at things in more detail.

Also, if you pick up a different subject in second semester you won't be able to do 2nd//3rd year subjects in either SCLG or the other subject that you pick. Doing SCLG might give you a bit more flexibility.

Ok so i'm 80% sure I won't be allowed to sit crop1001.

Other than that.. I'll get over the line.

I bloody hope so..

GOVT1202 mark before exam: 50/60 Ranked 8th out of 542 students
Won't get an HD though, as I'd need 35/40 for the MC exam, which is apparently amazingly hard :( (even moreso than my penis)

There are. You ought to get to know the head of the Young Liberal organisation at uni (Quentin, I think his name is...). He's pretty extreme. Then there's his [constantly] red faced friend who looks as if he's going to explode at any minute.

How extreme is extreme?

Speaking of student politics, the SRC really needs to update its website. The global solidarity page is still urging people to support David Hicks being let out of Guantanamo. (Yes, my procrastination is getting so bad that I'm reading the SRC's global solidarity page. I hate archaeology.)

Dammit, Wikipedia is down. How can I procrastinate without Wikipedia?

Damn 84% for my claw2205 essay. (Hate it when you're only 1 mark off the next grade)

Yeh, IIRC the average last year was 19/40. Was a shocker of an exam that hardly allows you to demonstrate your knowledge/ability.
