They say it's about ranking.
What happens if u come first in ur school for that particular subject and ur mark was 70% and in the HSC exam u got 90% which is also 1st in the state.
But they average that out and u get 80 and 80 is an average mark for that particluar subject overall across the state.
Do u get scaled down, up or u just get that average mark without scaling?

you'll get the 90 as your moderated hsc mark.
nobody knows what they're raw hsc mark is unless they go through a feck load of trouble by doing some freedom of info act which ugotta pay money for etc etc.

nobody knows how they moderate the raw marks.
