How have everyone's ranks shifted since the end of Yr 11?

I'll start.

I'm pretty satisfied with current ranks, but then most of themhave dropped as undercover nerds start to move up in the ranks. So many of my friends are doing significantly worse now then they were in Yr 11 as well. For example, one of my friends was rank 1 in eco all through Yr 11 only to have plummeted to 12. Has anyone else found this?

Those are really good ranks, I am no where near those...

Was ranked 18th for Eco in Half Yearly Year 11, then ended moving up to 8th at the End of Year 11. Slipped on the first HSC assessments with 70% worth bloody 15%. Got half of my second assessment back. Got full marks for second part, yet to get my other half back. I was really devestated because Eco is one of my better subjects, and now I don't know what happened to my rank...

Geo: Well, I never really tried in Year 11 but was still ranked 4th or 5th. But its was a class of 15 mainly of bludgers. Anyway, I pulled myself together and did decent in the 1st HSC assessments getting 29/35. Approx 82.5% worth 20%. Rank: Tied 1st.

Advanced: I dunno my rank cause they never released it. But got 12.5/15 for first assessment worth 15%. Waiting to get my second viewing assessment back, don't think I have done too well.

I have had thoughts of repeating Year 12 or doing Pathways, but I have really screwed my HSC...

adv eng: 3/200+ ---> equal 4/200+
ext1 eng: 5/10 ---> no assessments yet, though we're down to 8 now
maths: 50/200+ ---> around the same, hopefully i'll push into top30 after this wednesday
modern: 3/90ish ---> like 10th.... -_-;
ancient: 8/40ish ---> 4th/40ish

overall i'm happy with everything except modern atm- if i stay in the top30 for maths i'm happy.

Business Studies: From 4th in prelim to something horrible; I didn't realise how important the syllabus was so I actually went bad in the assessment task. But it was only worth 10%, I'll easily move up now I've discovered the syllabus.

Everything else: Improved slightly/greatly. I'm putting in some effort this year to make up for coasting the last 5.

I've improved from 12th to 2nd in Adv English and stayed equal 1st in Ext 1 and am coming 1st in Ext 2. Also stayed 1st in Modern and have improved to 1st in Drama. History Ext has no rankings yet because we've done no assessments (!) and Chemistry is a lost cause. I'm about 4th but my mark is so amazingly crap it doesn't really matter.

Undercover nerds really do exist Dw too much about dropping ranks, because they jump around a lot.

ranks annoy me. you do good in class but then it looks like you havent if your assesment mark is a few off the last time you checked. plus tests could freak people out, or you could be having a bad day in an exam.

well one major change is i was ranked 145/160 and so far 38/160, but who knows i might fail the next assessments which might drag me down to 140s again =O

Yeah it is pretty good. Get all the one on one help you need. I so wouldn't last in a big school.

No rankings? bah that sucks, just compare with the main 'competition' and you should get a good idea

And its mostly the classes I'm doing thats small imo, my school's grade has 100 people in it.

I hate undercover nerds! They come outta nowhere. End of year 11, I was ranked 4/93 for business studies, but now I'm ranked in the 20s! This is SHITHOUSE! *rages*

I've also dropped ranks in eco (was 5/36), English, legal, but I'm 1st in general maths now (was 2nd last year).
