Hi. I've been offered a podiatry undergraduate position at the University of South Australia. I have a faint idea of what sort of profession this is but would like anyone who knows more to elaborate on it.

Does the profession pay well? How is employment? Tasks involved in the profession. etc.

Thanks

i thi klike any business it depends on how many clients you have and where you work. there is quite a fair bit of demand. sports podiatry could be quite intersesting. you would analyse walking and running gates on video with people on tredmills, you get to plaster peoples feet to fit orthotics .

its more than just looking at feet its also on how the feet affect the spine and the muscles in the legs and back.

only do this course if you really like it cause it is a very narrow profession with little room to move but it could be rewarding if you really like it

Elaine: Jerry, the man is a doctor.

Jerry: Doctor? He’s a podiatrist.

Elaine: It’s the same thing.

Jerry: Anyone can get into podiatry school. *George* got into podiatry school.

Elaine: Really?

* * *

Jerry: Why don’t you ask that doctor what it is?

Elaine: What? Now he’s a doctor? Before he was a podiatrist.

Jerry: But that’s what podiatrists do. They deal in fungus. They’re knee-deep in fungus. This guy know fungus.

Elaine: I am not going to ask him about funguses.

Kramer: Fungi.

Jerry: What?

Kramer: Fungi.

Looking after smelly feet of old ladies.

Conning parents into buying orthoses for kids.

Have fun.
