do u think dropping was a good choice or do u think u should have stayed? cause lowkey I'm prob gonna get something like that too on prelims
Well it is certainly the easy choice to drop. I feel I could've stayed if I had worked harder. (please don't take this negatively anyone). I decided to drop because I felt it was too much to do, though I did not practice much or read through material at home. My teacher went very fast through the content, assuming that we had tutoring, and I don't know what it was but the learning didn't feel as deep as for other subjects. I also felt I was disadvantaged because every other student in the maths advanced class did extension and had tutoring. Additionally, I was emotionally processing some experiences that I had some time before, which distracted me from my studies.

I'm certainly not trying to make excuses for myself, but there were many factors that led me to that decision. I think I made the best choice I could, though I am not proud of the compromise.Standard maths is much easier and it reduces stress and gives me more time for other subjects, the top ranks are very competitive, I went from hovering 1st/2nd to 3rd place out of 35 students.

hmm yeah cause if I do drop to std I def want to get a band 6 but my school gets quite a lot so I'm pretty much guaranteed one if I get top 10. But idk if I'll still do mid in std and it will be competitive to get top ranks or I should just stick it out at the bottomish of adv. I just don't want math to suck up too much of my time cause lowkey if I want to do good in adv I'm gonna have to spend a lottt more time which I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to manage without my other subjects suffering. But maybe I'll try learning ahead in the holidays to make things easier
