Should I drop Economics? My current rank is third but I don't really like the course. Also it adds to the intense workload that includes Extension 2 Mathematics. The other thing is that there is only one window of opportunity to drop it because my school has this stupid policy where you have to keep the subject if you don't drop it in term one. I'm happy with all my other subjects.

Another thing is that Economics scales pretty good. Should I keep it as a backup?

It's really about how much you like it.

I came third in Chemistry in a very competitive arena but stilled dropped it because it was pointless and boring for me.

Anyway, go for subjects that you love and really care about. You are actually bound to get higher result in those subjects at the end.

thanks a bunch for ur replies dudes. i will drop it cause there is too much workload atm (what with 4u maths and all) and i am finding it boring this year. ill hav 10 units (and some more time!) plus the 2 units i did previously in yr10. Hopefully the thread starter has also reached a decision on eco. BTW, congrats lyounamu on ur accelerated math ownage!

Thanks for your input people. At this point I'll specilaize in my other subjects even though I have an absolute advantage. Specialization is the key to maximum efficency. But I'll think about the decision more during the Christmas break.

Are you only up to there for Economics? I thought it was one core topic per term.
We did finish the topic. I was just specifying that I learned the Principle of Absolute Advantage in the Global Economy topic.
