Wanted to know how to do this question. I have done part a and found that the amplitude is equal to (b-a)/2

A particle performs simple harmonic motion on a straight line. It has a zero speed at the point A and B whose distance on the same side from a fixed point O are a and b respectively, where b > a

a) find the amplitude of oscillation in terms of a and b

b) The particle has a speed of V when halfway between the points A and B.

Show that the period of oscillation is π(b-a)/V
