Far too much emphasis on having a girl/boyfriend is forced upon the modern generation and our pop-culture society.

In saying that, I've been in my current relationship for the last 18 months and I think it's great. Almost everyone will have these and greater experiences with that of the opposite (sometimes same) sex at some stage in their life, but beating yourself up and rushing into an unstable one because you're 'alone' is just going to negatively effect your outlook on relationships and how you act when you find yourself in them.
