LOL wow i'm not the only one... half of my hsc study time was wasted on reading wiki articles on completed skyscrapers/skyscrapers under construction and proposed skyscraper designs....
if I don't get the ATAR I need- I blame wiki hahahah

shanghai is my fave skyline-so unique and out of this world... but hong kong seems to be the world favourite and is always the top of the lists of "best skylines in the world"...
dubai's individual buildings are pretty good but as a city skyline...it's not that nice and the buildings' positions don't compliment each other (well it's only an opinion but yea :) )

Shanghai's skyline from a distance works (in fact it's mega cool), but I imagine that up close it kinda blows. Is it a lot of open patches of unused grass and dirt with motorways everywhere? That kind of urban landscape can suck my balls. Someone answer my question.

It's where Dubai fails epicly as well: It's just a few nice glass structures rising up in a nice district (canals and shit), but away from that is sand. That's not urban and it's not cool, because it's just show. I mean, come on.

In 25 years it's gonna be an expensive looking public housing project. Compare Dubai to something similar.

My favourite city from every aspect is still Manhattan. So much history, so many different faces in the island, unlike that sterile hellhole called Dubai. Plus it has varied architecture...unlike Dubai. cunts.

It is? I'm pretty sure a lot of people hate it because it's monotonous and drab. Albeit a glassy kind of drab. Shanghai is good because it has variety.

Melbourne Represent!

Not the most valiant effort, but worth a mention. A hell of a lot more attractive than a lot of Melbourne's "modern" buildings.

I love the Eureka Tower - it's fantastic. Wouldn't fit in at all in Sydney but in Melbourne it's awesome.

Not a sky scraper but one kick ass bridge.

it kinda looks better when it's put in the context of the city in which it resides

Absolutely love this stuff. I've spent hours upon hours looking up on Wikipedia on different scyrapers and bridges. Seeing how big all the buildings and towers were. Also love looking at stadiums too, seeing the different shapes and designs. Great fun!
