Hi there, i've started University this year at UOW and i was curious if anyone could help me with this problem. I use to work out a bit but never 100% properly right (just for a bit of background) i stoped that mid way through HSC and never started again and never saw any change in the way i was. I now am at uni an am noticing that im always tired when i come home, during the lectures and sleep all the time at home. I have pretty poor sleeping habits but this never effected me before. Here is a short list of things that i find that annoy me

* i'm allways tired when i come home
* i get the cold alot more easily
* when i try to read or do something i pretty much just end up going to bed
* i have zero motivation to do stuff
* headaches

* Oh i also have lectures from 8-5 Tuesday to Thursday and work 8-4 on fri-sat & have monday half day till 12 and sundays off

How do i resolve this.. Please HELP
hehe ye im like that aswell. When i was in yr12, 1hr sleep after school was in my daily routine...and ye i get tired aswell after uni especially if u finish at 7:30pm

oh man, i am never going to do another allnighter! I got to 6am and felt like I was going to throw up. I tried to get an hr sleep, but couldnt really, woke up at about 10 and continued on. Thankfully got it handed in at 2 rather than 4.

So yes, I recommend that pple get organised so they dont do all nighters

Or maybe you are chronically iron deficient anemic...I used to be anemic and always tired, now im just deficient, and i have a bit more energy. Its common amongst girls to be tired coz of that time of the month, but not only then i mean. Go and get a blood test and that way you'll find out. Maybe ask the doc for a referall to a sleep clinic, they can investigate whats going on.

Um well you've got to be a lot more than tired, there's a whole heap of other symptoms other than fatigue you need to have to be diagnosed. and its different from that normal sort of tiredness to, it feels more like your bodys made out of lead and sometimes you can go for days, weeks or more without being able to get out of bed. its evil.

like without wings said, its diagnosed by excluding other medical conditions that could be causing the same symptoms. i was diagnosed by a specialist a couple of months after i got sick, after seeing a bazillion specialists and tests rule out stuff first. i felt like a guineapig haha.

lol, i can't drink alcohol at all which sucks, i tried a couple of drinks at my friends 18th and ended up unconcious and in hospital. never again! :p

i hope you find out what it is, its so bad not knowing. i hated it. how screwed are you with uni? im sooo behind that they're worried im going to fail a subject . agh *runs away* :bomb:

Well you should go and see your uni student, and ask to get special consideration to be exempt from paying the HECS fees sicne you've been ill this semester, so that you dont get an academic penalty.

That is of course if your not going to continue the rest of this semester.
