HOW much research is necessary for a 45+ mark??

do we need hundreds and hundreds of theorist, uni lectures, etc or say 25 texts which support???

There's no set amount, but you should be constantly reading in your medium, and yes you should have lot of research for concept. Look to your signature...

THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST!!
Just do as much as you feel you need to be able to execute a response with 'textual integrity' and sophistication. Be able to have important texts that you refer to in your reflection statement.

A Year 11 asked me this the other day over facebook.

This question is unanswerable.

You shouldn't think of research as a revenue to meet. Any research, whatever it is, will ultimately strengthen your work- you don't need 'impressive research' such as complex psychoanalytical theories etc- that does not necessarily constitute a 45+ mark, but you do need to show evidence of research in your Reflection Statement.

Rather than trying to manufacture influence, I suggest you just go and do it. You'll know whether you've researched enough by the density of your ideas.
