In terms of the dull banging noise, supercharge noises are fine by me.

Also, there are cruisers I wouldn't object to. God help me I wouldn't buy em or be caught dead riding one, but there are plenty that I'd be more than happy to let sit in my garage for me to look at.

I'd happily fork out my own money for a harley XLCR

also a Vmax, or an MT-01 + Griso if you consider them cruisers. A buell would be everything I want in a bike if they were reliable.

I'm a big, big fan of shaft drive, and you're pretty much limited to jap cruisers if you want a cheap shafty, I'd have a suzuki M50 for that reason alone.

Choppers are gayer than a pair of arseless chaps.

In the middle of a set of S-bends when I had the bike cranked over as far as I dared, I was passed mid corner by a guy on a deus SR500. The shame.

was looking for parking before work this morning when I pulled up next to one of these at the lights at ultimo

top bloke, nodded, saw L plate and had a chat about how I'd love riding. Said I did, and he said "well then you'll really love this"

gave his throttle some and brought it to redline and set off like 4 car alarms
i could get used to that tbh

Rode around for a few min with one in Parra the other day

Sounds a bit odd trundling along at 50, which I wasn't expecting cos they are meant to be wet clutch but he may have converted it I guess

Or it was a 1098/1198 olol

Lol i had to get up early yesterday to get my bike in for servicing, the mechanic said i had a hard clutch, but he said it with a slurred accent or something and it sounded like "You have a hard crotch."

Me, my GF and her father just stared at him.

so why on earth would you want a dry clutch if you weren't a racer?

and perhaps i was mistaken, but those dudes were talking about downshifting without using the clutch - isn't that like...really bad?
