If Italia play like they did against Sweden (before Trap's substitutions) for the rest of the tournament, they will win, no doubt. No team has matched that sort of quality thus far.

Rooney Vs Ronaldo, that'll be good to see. Only problem i can see is england probaly struggling in the air and from set pieces against portugal. the portugese defense has been solid as well.

england did well last night, great for rooney to get more goals and the cro's team selections and overall play was poor i thought,

henry got himself two cracking goals , hope this spurs him on for the rest of the tournament, and rooney's record of being the youngest player to score at the euro's is gone too!! Vonlanthen the swiss bloke got one last night to break it.

All in all it was well worth waking up to watch last night.

how do the goal differences thing work anyway?

so if the scandinavians draw 2-2 even if say italy beat bulgaria 5 - 0 (which is about as likely as george bush growing a brain or john howard removing his head from dubyas arse though) italy will be eliminated regardless?

hmm its got something to do with the results between the teams who are tied(sweden,italy,denmark), not neccesarily the over all goal difference scored throughout the group stages( which means goals scored against bulgaria by any of the teams dont count in the determination of goal difference). i think thats how it works..

yeah Italy will probably lose to Bulgaria after all this criticism they have directed towards the potential Denmark-Sweden conspiracy..

but it would suck to see mad players like Nesta, Pirlo, Gattuso .. ( ) exit the tournament so early..

as long as Portugal beat England and Latvia qualify for quarterfinal, it will be a good tournament.
