Sketch #1:
Sketch y with respect to x.
No parameterisation.

Curve 1: (x - 3)2 + (y - 2)2 = 6

Curve 2: (x - 14)2 + (y - 2)2 = 6

Curve 3: y = - (x - 5)(x - 12)

Sketch #2:
This requires parameterisation and t must lie between -1 and 1.

x = sin (t) cos (t) ln |t|
y = √(|t|) cos (t)

Better, a transcendental, parameterisation-requiring curve:

x = sin (t)(ecos(t) - 2cos4t - sin5(t/12))

y = cos (t)(ecos(t) - 2cos4t - sin5(t/12))

OR more simply: x6 + y6 = x2
