Yeah, I'll agree with skywalker. It totally depends what you want to do.
For eg, you might want to be a surgeon and have like, lots of money and little sleep, or you could be a GP and work specific hours, or lots of other things.
My GP mentor reckons she's found the perfect job...she's part time at the moment, so only 2 days a week at the clinic, and 2 days on call, as she's just had a kid.
It's all just a lifestyle choice really...what you're happy doing.

either way (law or Med), the first few years you either spend:

a(law). Continuosly kissing ass while making cups of coffee, photocopying, running erronds, researching the cases that aren't yours, for senior lawyers in your firm. BTW, you also have to sell your soul.

b(medicine). Working 14 hour days and getting all the crappy jobs/patients to look after, plus, if your registrar doesn't like you still have to continuosly kiss ass while making cups of coffee, photocopying and running erronds.

6 years of medical school + 2 years low paid internship + 4 to 6 years average pay fellowship = not that fast

but I agree with you, med or law is much better pay than working uneducated.

but the real money is in business or some law specialties (if there is such a thing) like international law. (Jewish POW's suing mercedes and voltswagon for 200 million in damages, even at 10% commission you get 20 million for 10 years of work. But hey, those jobs are so rare it like saying "i'm going to be like bill gates when I leave school". It just doesn't happen.

very funny, but my english is still better than my German.

BTW, not to be offensive or anything, but people who run a spell check on every post they make on BoS are sad, to say the least.
-or at least obsessive-compolsive.

I will give you credit for your joke though, very funny.

:p Just because I notice errors doesn't mean I "run spellcheck on every post".

I'm far more effective. :p

Anyway, it's the ones who CALL every mistake that are sad. Granted, I do have some obsessive-compulsive tendencies...

Really? Like? :)

I'm a compulsive when it comes to creases in trousers...you know how before they used to crease trousers down the middle? I do that....to every pair...
Its all rather sad. :(

thats alright lexi, i was a stupid and noticable mistake, and at the time, i have to admit, I was cut, but I'm over it now.

Besides, I'd much rather have an obsesive-compolsive doctor operating on me than one who's not, they're much less likely to make mistakes or leave surgical equipment in you. :D

Yeah I think I have a good balance. I can't reel off my traits because I don't catalogue them, I just notice them immediately after displaying them. Then I forget. :p

Stupid stuff like compulsively organising EVERYTHING around me (except when I'm too lazy to).
