Oh, we don't have a thread yet. Ok, here we go, same deal as Autumn, except post your spring subjects and not autumn :p

Tuesday - 9am - 12pm - Tourism Trends - Hawkesbury
Wednesday - 1pm - 4pm - Sustainable Tourism and Recreational Planning - Hawkesbury
Thursday - 9am - 12pm - Wildlife Tourism - Hawkesbury
Friday - 9am - 4pm (with a one hour break) - Landuse and the Environment - Hawkesbury.

I think this semester is going to kill me! Firday is 6 hours for just one subject, not to meantion I have Corazon for 2 subjects and Poll for Sustainable tourism!

But its good to be back at Hawkesbury and not switching between a billion different campuses each week!

I was thinking of doing intro to geochem, but I had enough of looking at rocks last semester, and the lecturer drove me nuts constantly speaking about rocks

Well, I did the earth sciences subject last semester. It was interesting, however, we had weekly exams and there was a tonne of work that needed to be done each week. Also, some of the topics were very difficult to understand, especially earths physics, but I was told that in geochem you look more at the chemical structures of the earth etc, but the lecturer is very nice, he'll explain anything, but he has an obsession with rocks :p

Lecturers expect in the first 2 weeks that some students join and some drop out, so you won't be too far behind.

As soon as you find out if you get your transfer or not, you should fix your structure asap, so you can attend first week so your not far behind.

Tuesday 9 - 5 and Wednesday 10 - 4.

I have a question actually. Do we have to follow the course structure? Because I emailed my course co-ordinator two weeks ago asking if I could do some different subjects to the ones I was advised to do at mid-year enrolment (with the intention of doing those ones next semester) and the fucker leaves it to 2pm today to get back to me (when I already did my program variation after not hearing from him for a week, and changed some units around) and tells me I should do the units I was advised to do. The units I'm enrolled in right now are all compulsory as well so what's the difference? I really need to know because otherwise I will a) not have my current timetable - which I love and get stuck with some shit hours and b) will need to go through all that paperwork again.

I hope that's clear enough for someone to understand, so I can get an answer. It's a bit ridiculous that I'm relying more on BoS to give me a straight and accurate answer than the actual staff, for fucks sake.

[EDIT]: the actual staff at UWS, that is.

Its always best to follow the course structure, because if you have compulsory subjects, there could be a risk that next semester or whenever they might clash with other core subjects. If this happens, sometimes you might not be able to overload, so you will be extending your time at uni by a semester.

But really, its up to you if you follow your course structure, however, I'd advise you to.

Also i would advise to follow the course strucutre, im luckily able to finish all cores with no clashes even after i trasnferred, but sometimes you may have to go to another campus or must take up a 5 sub semester to get even.
