I would be happy about Rooney now being in the team, but then I think about Gower and Waterhouse, Waterhouse in particular... The club will not be happy, especially with it being seen as the benchmark for how a club should interact with the general community... More 'fun' for rugby league.

The vacated positions (centre, wing) are not the positions Gidley was selected for - he is either halfback or five-eighth. The only way Gidley would have made it was if he came into the 17 at centre, pushing De Vere to wing.

Well, I'll definitely be supporting the Blues, but it won't be the same.

I went to the Origin a few years ago and it was great. But then I went last year, I think and it wasn't fantastic.

At home, probably only watch it to cheer on the Roosters players and make sure they stay uninjured.

Someone tell the NSW origin team bosses to stop sacking players, otherwise there won't be any players left for Wednesday!!

Kurt Gidley is there just in case someone pulls up injured or sick or whatever on the day of the match since he can cover basicly every position in the backline. he's another utility player. Since mini and gasnier were sacked with like a week ago, its better if they brought in two specialist players to cover the vacant positions.
