The raw marks required to get a state rank would fluctuate from year to year, subject to subject. I agree with Irvine, it would probably be around 95%+ English Advanced. For Biology, I guess it would also be around 95%+. It's really hard to say though. Too many variables.

I'm pretty sure for advanced english, state rankers would be getting 104/105 if not 105/105... They then choose your rankings by re-reading ur scripts and then ordering you based on that

Dont think you can plan a state ranking. Its always unexpected and requires tremendous luck.

Not quite true. Getting about 99-100/105 will get you a State Rank (depends how you well you do internally too, of course).

Is it common for many people to get 45/45 on the AOS paper? We had a couple get that in the midcourse and we're not THAT well ranked or anything...
And on that note, is 55+/60 on a Modules paper particularly unusual?

do standard get 92 1st in the state
~success~
Isn't standard capped though?

Like I heard in Ancient if you get full marks (and only full marks are like state ranks), you'll still get scaled down. So maybe that 92 in standard is scaled down?
