Some people are just physically slow writers though - its not because they dont know enough to write 5 pages

for example if I sat down now and kept rewriting "bored of studies" on A4 paper for 40 minutes I still wouldnt fill up 5 pages, probably 3.5-4 at most

Some people are physically slow runners, too, but they can improve with practice.

I know what you mean - I was a slow writer for most of Y12. :)

As with any skill or activity, your writing speed can be honed and augmented.

yeah
if your a slow writer, take time to consider why
it may be as simple as changing pen (some pens are faster than others!) or your style of writing (u dont have to be perfectly neat, as long as its legible)
I used to be not able to write more than 3 pages in a 45 min period, but with practice (i.e economics assessments) I can get up to about 8 pages A4 in 45 mins for a memorised essay

8 pages... ouch - my hand would go num if I did that now (i.e. i need practice)

which reminds me of this person's hand after last year's hsc ancient history exam - they had written like 40 pages in 3 hours and her right hand was purple.
