Re: StuVac & Exam Period Bitch and Moan Thread (I, 2007)

i should go into uni to pick up my essay and maybe do some proper study. but i really dont feel like spending 12 bucks and 4 hours to go and do that and come back. so it's home for me (and all its tempting distractions) until exams start. besides, i'm hungover again. fab thursday @ embassy = awesome, awesome drag queen filled fun. i recommend it.

argh. gay. ECOF aren't allowed to release the tutorial participation marks, which are worth 15% and would tell me whether or not I've got an HD. Looks like I'll have to wait two weeks for my portfolio to come back, which is worth 10%. I was hoping I'd know how I went by this stage.

uhm... its sort-of a mix... blues/rock/folk (im not drastically into any of those styles, but theyre ok :) ). Being the bassist, the youngest and the one thats not in the 'circle of friends' with the rest of the band it sorta sucks though... i have absolutely no input.

Hardcore gangster rap.

Haven't studied. My family is heading to canberra for the weekend so I'll have control of the TV (and thus the DVD player) so in theory I should get some work done.

In practice I'll prolly just cook and eat and watch reruns all weekend. Meh.

Yeah, after about Week 6-7 of semester Fisher gets completely packed. Hopefully it'll be better once the SciTech library opens next year and all the science students decamp there.

I'm mega-screwed for Geopolitics. But I've found a ridiculously broad yet insightful (hopefully) thesis for Australian history! Now I just have to hope that the questions are broad enough for me to talk about it.

Go into the stacks? I dunno, I'm not one for spending much time in the library.

Today was productive. I did some study, some grocery shopping, went to the gym, filled up my car, did the laundry and cleaned out my brother's fishy. Poor thing was practically swimming in sludge, I could barely see it in the tank.
But we've got no crickets to feed the lizard. I might have to go outside tonight and catch some because I really can't be arsed buying any. Expensive little animal, that dragon.

Ack I hate stuvac. I'd much rather go straight into real vac.

Meh. I can cope with CFT. LFT, the one with all those shitty orbitals and whatever is the one I have the real problem with. Damn Beattie. Still gonna fail that exam though. :(

I still intend to spend most of my library time in Fisher. :)

Re: StuVac & Exam Period Bitch and Moan Thread (I, 2007)

Library survey last year said that these are the areas where they should improve:
1. Access to computers to support study/research is adequate
2. Prompt corrective action is taken regarding missing books and journals
3. The Library collection is adequate for my needs
4. Opening hours meet my needs
5. Quiet study facilities are adequate
6. Off-campus access to electronic information resources and services is adequate
7. Library catalogue provided clear and useful information
8. Access to electronic resources is easily available
9. Individual seating is adequate
10. Books and journals are re-shelved quickly
Numbers 5 and 9 should be much higher. The library's collection is fantastic, how could it be so problematic that it's six places above the shortage of seating? (Yes, I am procrastinating, why do you ask?)
