hey is there a way that i could get accelerated without doing my preliminaries??
my teacher said that he could somehow get me into ext 2 maths without it.
is that possible??

yeah, but you need to know preliminary 3unit and 2unit to do 4 unit.

The Principal needs to sign off on it to say that you have the required knowledge, though the fact that preliminary mathematics knowledge is examinable in the HSC means that you're probably better off doing it normally.

Acceleration means you have to learn the Preliminary course at an accelerated rate (i.e. faster than everyone else by a year) NOT skip the Preliminary course entirely.

I strongly suggest undertaking this form of "acceleration" for reasons mentioned above.

i guess you can do it to get a head start, and if you didn't do well, you can always do it again and have a big advantage

rather, you can exploit the system by doing the accelerated prelim and HSC course and backing out at the last moment

lols yeah like moaz but u can always take the other option- there is a course where u can do the opposite of acceleration- u do ur hsc in 5 years

moaz is just a tank at maths. i reckon ur smart enough to do the 4u course but do the prelim course cuz u need it for 4u and u cud prolly finish it in like a term anyway. gl
