Had I knew such a big workload was involved with Modern, I would not have chosen it at all. :(
the work load in modern is not that big time management is the key and it wont be as hard thats what i found and modern is easy

Currently i do:
Standard english
General maths
PD/H/PE
Chemistry
Hospitality

If i could go back i would do:
Standard english
Advanced maths
Ext. 1 & 2 maths
PD/H/PE
Business
Hospitality

Don't know why i let anyone talk me into not doing advanced and extension maths or how i let my year 10 science teacher convince me i could do chemistry and physics. lucky for me i got to drop physics but chem is horrible

I currently do:

Maths Ext 1
English Adv
Legal
Society and Culture
French Beginners

I reeaalllly wish i'd done modern history. But at the time of choosing, it clashed with legal .I wish i'd replaced society and culture with Modern History , EXCEPT the stupid school wouldn't have let me, as, like i said, it clashed with legal. But now that i think about, i wish i had choosen Modern History over Legal .... i remember battling over that decision...god don't know why Legal came out on top

I wish I had forced my school to run Modern History so I could have done it instead of ancient.

I thought the same about Visual Arts, but I've changed my mind.
The state average is 85, I think.
I reckon VA is one of the most easy subjects. You just work on your BoW (which your teacher guides you through so you get max marks) and you just memorise the same crap - "the use of blah colour has blah effect". Plus in the exam they give you so many questions to choose from. In the prelim, we got to choose from like 10 questions for the extended response stuff.
Seriously, it's pretty easy. I regret considering to drop it lol.

I wish, If i had the time, that i continued Maths Ext2, because i loved it and found it really interesting. i wish i had more units!! Then i would have been doing 16 =/
WOAH. 16 units... woah.

oh and I dont think eng adv makes much of a difference scaling wise..?
so i've heard.

correct,
eng adv and eng std scale the same.

however, it has proven to be much more beneficial to choose adv english.
Only a small % of students recieve a band 6 in standard.

i've thought about this a lot...

Advanced English - keep
General Maths - already dropped; switch for Economics
Business Studies - boring; switch for Legal
Ancient History - keep
Biology - keep
Italian Continuers - keep; accelerate maybe, and/or pick up extension (i didn't know there was Italian extension at the time of subject selection, so yeah...)

it would have been fun to do german or french beginners (instead of either legal or economics) cause i like language, but i'd have to have done it by correspondence...

I noticed that in my junior years, I was doing extremely well in maths/sciences. Then come the senior years and all of a sudden, I'm doing humanities.

Has anyone noticed a change in their program? I seem to have left my strengths and picked things up from another "category" (help me find the right word? lol I'm so bad at English!!) purely out of interest and now I'm paying for it because although it's interesting, it's not motivating when you keep getting the answers wrong. Maybe I should've done Chemistry or Physics - I never liked Biology.
