Has anyone by chance taken any of the gender or cultural studies units if so any good or should i give it a miss? I am a little wary as I haven't done anything with that department before and I dont want to sign up for a semester of torture

I took Intro to Gender Studies last semester and loved it, but it wasn't necessarily new to me since I have friends that are into that stuff. It's definitely better if you're open-minded and progressive imo

ACCT1006 - undecided on whether to take ACCT1006/INFS1000/MKTG1001. Any insight into these 3 units would be great!!

Any tips regarding taking both FINC2012 & 3017 together? Heard it was crazy to take up both and attain a decent grade in both..

INFS is shit easy. even if you don't study but at least attend lectures, you'll have no problem with cramming for the final exam. most people I know got at least 80 for this unit.

ACCT1006 is also good if you did fairly well in the first accounting unit.

I'm also doing PHIL1012 - I presume you're planning on a maths or stats major?

I don't really know what I want to major in yet, I'm just doing philosophy out of interest. But yeah a maths or stats major is definitely on the cards, I'm keeping my options open.

Ahh I see, also, only 18 units?

Yeah 18 units. I want to try and transfer into Advanced Science if I can, and to my knowledge in that degree they only allow 48 junior credit points. I'm intending to do first year chemistry and physics next year, so after that and the maths units I only have two electives remaining.

Still full time though, 18 is the minimum.
