im currently doing:

Legal studies
Business studies
Economics
Modern History
2 Unit Advanced Maths
2 Unite Advanced English

Now im thinking of dropping legal and picking up his ext, but im doing really well in legal, im averaging 92% this yr, and if i were to drop it, i will only have 11 units therefore i will stress because i am not that strong in maths. If i were to just keep these subjects, what would i have to do to get above 95?

theres nothing wrong with 11 units. You've got an extension unit up your sleeve in case any of your 2 units go badly and its not really that much more work than 10 units.

well at the moment i'm doin adv english, ext 1 maths, physics, chem, pdhpe, hospitality.
I'm prob gunna pick up ext 2 maths which means i would have 14 units so i'm gunna drop either pdhpe or hospitality and do 12 units but i dunno which one yet. some people have told me to drop both of them and just do 10 units, but then i wouldnt have anything to drop back on if i stuff up in something. what do u guys reckon would be the best??
i really wish i could drop english all together cos it is really my weakest strength

ok doing...
3u math (was failing cos i didn't get half the stuff)
adv eng
phys
chem
legal
eco (failing cos i fall asleep in class cos it's so damn boring)

thinking of either picking up 4u math and getting 100% on 2u and taking a bridging course when i get into unsw and dropping eco
OR dropping the ext1 and keeping eco and risk failing my 2u
can't decide...mother doesn't approve of me dropping math cos she says i'm lazy already...but meh..what can she do...
anywho...still need some advice...

Is it a bad idea to do 10 units in Year 12?

Because I wanted to do
-Eng Ext 2
-History Extension
-Drama
-Studies of Religion I

I thought that was a fairly balanced timetable, but others seem to think that you need something to fall back on- as in 11 or 12 units. I disagreed, saying that if you were putting in the effort it might as well count, but i wasn't so sure.
Any advice??

If you are confident in your abilites to do fairly well....go for it. Those subjects (except drama) are scaled quite well and doing only 10 will give you more study time

i think ur wrong - it is assumed you would get 100% in 2 unit maths if u do extension 2

when u do extension 2

the extension 1 part is counted as 2 and the extension 2 is counted as 2 i think
