related texts for imaginative journeys!
hi everyone, wow this is pretty funky... thank god for the internet.
i've just started year 12 english and we're doing coleridge as our prescribed texts for the area of study: the imaginative journey. so far we've done the lime tree bower my prison, kubla khan and the rime of the ancient mariner.
for our related texts we've been watching big fish in class but we can choose others. i'd really like to do the matrix as a related text but from what i've seen so many people have done it and the markers are looking for something outstanding. any ideas from past work you've done or seen?
also how many of you chose a video game as your imaginative journey? i was thinking the legend of zelda but perhaps that's more of a physical journey? other than that the best fallback is alice in wonderland or donnie darko? again, any general ideas?
good luck to everyone doing their hsc right now, btw
