Yeh you could replace the chain I guess... But that doesn't solve the problem of an anniversary present! =D

but heres what i reckon, pinch the heart u gave her without her knowing.... replace with a chain she isnt allergic 2... a nice one... they can be expsensive so it should count as a real present

or u could just get the pendant, its real nice, i like and either keep the nylon.. doesnt look 2 bad but it would look better with a more traditional looking chain like gold chain, the gold/silver snake weave one or even a string you make yourself to make it look more..classical

I don't like two-tone chains. That being said one of my close friends does, so it's very much an individual thing.

That being said - trying to be objective - I think anything other than a fine, simple chain would detract from the pink heart pendant. When you're dealing with fine details - like high-quality stone cutting - you don't want to have something "strong" like a multiple-tone/chunky chain detracting from that fine detail.

Actually, a fair number of people ARE allergic to nickel (like me!) and hence can't wear anything other than pure gold or pure sterling silver overnight. I doubt they'd actually be allergic to the stone itself, but they *could* definately be allergic to the metal setting.

Any girl who says she "can't wear semi-precious stones" obviously wants the real deal. If she's extra pushy, just buy her a well-cut Cubic Zirconia - only a professional jeweller armed with a magnifying glass and light will be able to tell the difference

this may sound corny and gay, but in year 10 i didnt choose a sport. and all was left was
lapidary -.-" [stone shaping and thing..] turned out to be quite good actually. i made a pendant out of Agate[really tough nice looking crystal] and i kept it till i met this gurl..

i gave it to her only if she could solve something =p. which was incredibly hard because i made it up. but what the fudge she solved it in 2 weeks. so i gave it to her as a present =p

she is now my girlfriend and we are really happy together. if only i could make her mine forever ..

Hi! Just in case you guys were wondering, I went to Swarovski today to have a look at the pendant in real-life --- suffice to say, I did not get it, everyone was right about the nylon cord thing, it looked REALLY cheap! And soooo I went to other places and finally bought this really cool 9ct white gold necklace from Goldmark instead ^_^ It's really nice too! So yes dilemma solved, thanks everyone! You guys are great .
