T_T omgsh.. u guys did so good

.. fk last year i had like 8/9 high distinctions

this year i got more than half below average =[

maths 2 unit - 80 (average 78)
maths 3 unit - 40 (average 42)
english adv - 73 (average 78)
economics - 88 (average 80)
legal studies - 82 (average 82)
chemistry - 73 (average 75)
physics - 64 (average 76) <------ *stab stab*

English: 8/15=Band 3
Maths: 56% (the average in our class was 55%)
Modern: 16.5/20
French Cont: 40.5/45
Dance: 100% theory (first in the class!), 8.5/10 prac
No mid-yearly exam for Ext. English, it was even better 'cos there was one for Ext. Maths! Heehee.
Can someone who got worse than me post their marks so I feel better lol.
How come everyone knows how they went compared to everyone else? They never tell rankings or anything at my school.

just wondering, for year 12, do their 'half-yearly' exams count towards their uai in the end? because i thought that the hsc onlyhad 3 things that counts towards the uai:
- first assessment
- trial exams
- external exam

It depends whether or not their half-yearlies have any weighting in their internal assessment mark. I know that some half-yearly exams weigh 0% in the internal assessment mark, but generally most of the year 12 half-yearlies are worth a percentage of the internal assessment. It depends on how your school weighs those exams in terms of your internal assessment marks.

It's true and although preliminary year forms the building blocks for the HSC year and the marks are wipped at the end of preliminary, I would suggest that you use this time to create and build a good study pattern and technique so you know exactly how to study and the best ways that you learn. Hopefully for your efforts now you will be rewarded in HSC year!

dont have halg yearlies in my skool for most of the subs.....
english oral 9/15 ( holy shit), essay writing 14/15
2U maths: 81%.... faint
3U maths: 65%..... faint... but happy coz de average is 46%
bio.... on ideal.... havent got one but coming up next week
legal.... shit..... i cant remember my mark but come 15/74
eco.... lol first one 11/20( OMG) faint.... den the other one is 35/40 ( yeah first one de grade)
Jap.... cant remember.... come 4th!!
Need to work hard for an uni of 96.5!~~
