Hey,

Has your teacher confirmed what texts you will be doing?

For me, it will be

Area of Sutdy (AoS): The Tempest, Shakespeare

Module A: Comparative Study of Text & Context

Elective 2: Prose Fiction and Film
- - > Brave New World
- - > Blade Runner

Module B: Critical Study of Texts

Poetry: Gwen Harwood (Originally decided it was King Lear, teacher changed her mind)

Module C: Representation and Text

Elective: Telling the Truth
- - > Frontline

Good text?

Good text?
BNW/BR - When the class first decided on doing it - i was close to changing classes but at the end - i loved it! Pretty interesting and when it comes to analysis it's easy as shit.

KL - I think i love your teacher. I fucking hated King Lear :mad1:

Frontline - Not bad - Extremely easy to analyse :)

You're studying good texts, although i cant say much about Gwen Hardwood.

RTFG is awesome & easy :D - so glad we didn't do post modernism. Heaney poems are simple and easy to analyse - Are you doing the Shipping News or The Bone People?

Shipping News and The Castle.

Extension one is my favourite subject (along with modern). It's awesome.

I really like Heaney because a lot of what he writes is linked to the Irish struggle/English land claims. His poetry is pretty vivid and a joy to read.

I like you :)

Modern was my favourite.

We were going to do the Shipping News but after reading it we decided not to - it was seriously boring on my part. Castle was good :D

Good luck!

I do 10 units. I did extension history however i saw more negatives in the course than postives and dropped it. It was more difficult for me because i had EE2 as well. I just didnt like the idea of having to kill myself over hist essays worth a lame 3.3% and the fact that unlike ee2, ext history requires a major work and an exam. Good decision overall.

Shipping News - Seriously Ghey :D
