Got 150/(30 + R) V

It should be 150/(30 + R/1000) V

Realised after the test. Lost one mark. I'll probably get 2/3


(b) Wrote about aperture lens widening or closing depending on LDR. Probably get 2/3

(c) Wrote about input of thermistor. Output relay. Confident to get 4/4

(d) Simple truth tables. 3/3

(e) Simple amplifier stuff. 6/6

(f) In opinion, much harder to address the answer easily.

I took extra paper and wrote 2 pages but I was a bit uncomfortable writing it, especially the assessment.

I had a good structured essay though, of 4 paragraphs, but thinking maybe I will get a 4 or 5/6.


Overall, may get a 21 or 22/25.

Yeah exactly. It was stuffed I know. I just left it in an expression form. I spent 5 minutes trying to find on the paper anything I missed.
That question was just unfair man. They should have wrote R1 on the diagram, cause I had to draw it in my booklet to indicate what R was.

I probably got full marks then haha.. I actually feel blessed age of silicon was so easy this year!
I wonder how many people did this option...

Yeah it was pretty easy. I think the LDR in cameras though would have put some people off. Same as the transducer 4-marker.
I lost 1 mark though for the potential divider though. forgot to put R/1000 when I simplified it.
I was surprised that the amplifier question was not difficult.

I'm disappointed though. I really wanted a harder calculation like 2011 so that it would align up this year.
I think aligning this year will most likely be on par looking at how much easier it was this year than the likes of 2011 or 2007.
I always make them sillies, so harder is better for me.

And last year only about 70 people in the state did AOS.

We should make an Age of Silicon group eh?
