My old school friends had some awesome futons. I was jealous, they're so comforable and practical.

They were really cheap and always dirty as (they were uni students), but they were still awesome.

Need some massive cylindrical glass vase/tube with heaps lethal box jellyfish in them, with LED lights from the bottom shining up. Stole the idea from Seven Pounds.

Your first option isn't too bad, except the seating part is too long, and so id find it weird to sit in. Meh. I was moar imagining things we could just slump into. Cross between bean bag/couch type of seating arrangement.
