God this forum seems dead! Any one here doing year 12 continuers? Any anglo saxons doing it? I have my reading and listening test tomorow buggger... i HATE listening its so fricken hard.

I wish this forum was more active i just think it would help some how if it was...

im gonna start reading chinese magazines.....their entertainment magazines seems way better here
but theyre damn expensive, and you can only get them in limited places

Yeah tell me about it, imported from HK, they cost like 15 - 20 bucks in china town or some asian newsagent.

When i was in HK i bought heaps of mags, each of them were only about $2 AUD or a bit more, cheap as!

Friends get those Chinese (Honky) fashion magazines sometimes, seems kinda shit though.

that's a hefty tariff imposed on the newspaper. haha

mainly coz demand = inflexible (not many other alternatives available) and hence, the tariff tax is mostly imposed on the buyer of the newspaper. *nods*

a magazine for 2 yuans in china might be sold for 2 dollars in AUS......= =

haha yeah, some of the costs comes from the tariff tax or something like that which is why magazines from hk are more than 3 times as expensive here than over there
