nothing beats mario kart, those damn shells, oh wait, ps2, ... GT4 is probably the only extremely realistic game, seeing as its a driving simu, whereas games like nfs are just street racing, or 'action' racing, watever. The GT series is made for realism, i havnt heard of any other driving simu franchise for ps2, or any other console.

I cant stand driving simulators, realism in driving games is gay.
fun=driving down highway at 350kph and smashin cops in the process.
Why take corners at 50kmh when u can powerslide em at 200.

only on ps3?
Yeah.
But the difference between GT4 and GT5: Prologue is HUGE!

There should be a price drop by the time it's released.

nfs is a joke. I can't stand those games.
Agreed, but I never play them as a racing sim, they're meant to be arcade games.

Was just about to start a thread about GT4. GT5 prologue was a bit of a let down. GT5 may not be here until 2010.

Anyway was playing GT4 last night, trying to set up cars for drifting. Its fucking hard as. Seriously. I got sick of it and decided to try GT3 again for the first time in many years and it was way better than i remembered. Not so much understeer all the time. Graphics are nearly as good. Menus are better i think. Car settings etc are so much easier.

Play GRID. Maybe not the "HOLY SHIT MOST REALISTIC EPEEN COZ MY CAR GOES TO BITS N STUFF" racing game, but it's a very good one. Screw realism. Just give me a good racing game with good cars, decent level of customisation, tits, and you have my vote.

/endsarcasm

Mind, realism's ok, but thats not the point. Games aren't developed to be "real" : they're developed to be different from our lives, so we can "escape".

That is all.
