Considering that Derby get 30 million pounds just for playing a year in the premier league, where as Perth have salary cap, and probably would be lucky to make a profit of even a million, its not that fair a comparison.siddharthlaha said:Yes, but not as much as A league. And derby county would OWN some a league clubs eg Perth Glory.
DUde, im not asian, nor am i a bandwagoner. I was born and spent 9 years of my life in Manchester, england.Captain Gh3y said:It's funny coz Asians are pretty much the biggest bandwagoners in the world
By the standards of logic ffs. They have the biggest population to draw upon. Even their finals attendances are shitful.blakegman said:As set by whos standards ?
That's a completely subjective viewpoint. John Smith on the street might think Sydney is above the average it should be.
I lived in Sale, which is about ten minutes away from Old trafford. Its the "united" side of manchester.blakegman said:How come you dont go for City ?
Can't blame him, Man Utd is the ultimate bandwagon team.
With Sydney it's either results or entertainment. One or the other, rarely both. They had their chance to cash in on Beckham mania, but they failed miserably.blakegman said:They played shit boring football all year. Plus i havent ever seen any marketing by the club since its existence.
Sydney FC need to get their shit together. Ill agree there.
We live in Australia. The sooner you accept that for atleast the next 10 years it will be referred to as soccer by a large amount of people the better.ZaraKu said:OMG for gods sake, it's FOOTBALL, not soccer...
Jeez...
Ofcourse its football! Its only called soccer here because he follow the US with everything. Its the only game that is actually played with the feet.blakegman said:We live in Australia. It's called soccer in the U.S too but that doesn't mean its different to what they play in England
It doesn't hurt to point it out thoughblakegman said:We live in Australia. The sooner you accept that for atleast the next 10 years it will be referred to as soccer by a large amount of people the better
]Gay Captain said:a Jets story made the back page of the newcastle herald today even though it's rugby league season
making progress!
I didn't want to be the one to back the bad news to you, but have you seen your squad for the year ? i would say second only to Perth Glory.ZaraKu said:I say us newey kids will be waaay better than melbourne at title defence... At least we're not like CCM and have been in 2 grand finals and lost both of them :-D, and honestly no one cares about League, AFL and Union, they're all a bunch of arrogant spoilt brats, at least A-League players paresent a good public image to kids
If it's true, thats an awesome signing, He has a huge following in soccer fans around australia especially in the sydney hunter region. Probably wont be as effective as he was with sydney, but is still better then most a league players. Shame he didn't come back to sydney though, even though we can't afford himblue_chameleon said:Here's news:
Dwight Yorke keen to sign with Central Coast Mariners on a 2 year deal.
Just saw a press conference on Seven News, so no links to hard-links unfortunately. However, he did sound really genuine.
Apparently travelling to Sydney during the week for talks with the Mariners.
