I really like jazz music.... perhaps this is influenced by the fact that my dad was the best jazz musician ever to come out of South Africa.....

but, its great to listen to...

and it makes some of the best dance music... music these days, while i love that too... somehow just doesn't have that "ok to hell with it, i absolutely have to dance to this" kinda feel.... i cant help it... my toes start tapping...

i totally agree about the dancing thing, but that depends on the type of jazz your listening too of course :p i must admit, bebop is somewhat hard to dance too ;)

sub genres.. there are so many i dont know if i can list them all..

Big band swing, bebop, cool, latin, bossa nova, smooth, modern jazz, etc... im sure theres more :)

Sharkbait you should download a song called It don't mean a thing if it aint got that swing by Ella and Duke (ellington) its the greatest ever :D Ella does the most crazy skat solo i have EVER heard:) get it now, its good :D
