Done and done. Will it be extra time or penalties? I am thinking penalties. Lippi needs to change things here you would think. Pippo Inzaghi does look to be the logical choice.

ON: Iaquinta
OFF: Camoranesi

Does Lippi have something against Inzaghi or something? He would be perfect in this situation.

...Damn Gilardino was close to scoring.

edit: again! Zambrotta hits the bar!

C'mon Germany!

that should have been a card - first he tries to drag him down, then tackles him from the ground.

i really expect italy to fire up in the last 5 mins of the 2nd half of extra time. they will not want it to go to penalties.

Damn. Podolski should have done better with the header. Half time in extra time. I sense that this game will go to penalties. Penalties are a somewhat common occurence in these latter stages of the tournament.

Its a little reassuring that they have Buffon in goals, but NO italian fan wants to go out like this. It would be the 5th straight world cup that they've gone out after extra time/penalties.

Lehman has demonstrated that he's fantastic in a penalty shootout situation. More importantly, it'll be very difficult for italy to win in a shootout considering the makeup of the crowd.
Excellent odds, atm. Germany to qualify @ 1.66 ( I got in @ 1.72).

10 mins left! Has been a marvelous game

EDIT: Klose is out :(

EDIT 2 : HOLY CRAP! Germany just collapsed and nearly gave away a penalty than an easy shot at goal.

EDIT 3: Fantastic shot by podolski!

Lehman has made a lot of bad decisions this game. He's coming out of his goals too much.
