Yay,

posted before, but what are your preffered lineups for the Super Test?

mine:

Australia:

Hayden
Langer
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Katich/Watson
Gilchrist
Warne
Lee
McGill
McGrath

although Hodge will probably get the nod over the Huss.

World:

Smith
Sehwag
Dravid
Lara
Kallis
Flintoff
Boucher
Pollock
Vettori
Murali
Shoaib

would prefer sangakkara over boucher, kumble over vettori and bond over shoaib but theyre not in the squad, so thats what i'm going by so far.

that row team looks ridiculousy strong in the batting department, no way warne or mcgrath will run through dravid, lara and kallis like they did to england. boucher , pollock and vettori are all excellent with the bat, while their bowling lineup has great talent, variety and depth.

i'm looking forward to this one. in bay 18 for the first three days :)

also in other scores

Zimbabwe 161
India 354/8 (103.3 ov)

dravid got 98, gambhir 97 streak has 5/68 so far.

and

Sri Lanka 457/9d
Bangladesh 191 & 131/4 (34.0 ov) (f/o)

not looking to good for either of the minnows atm. both look like getting rolled by an innings.

An avid Indian supporter at work is convinced Kumble is past his best. Vettori recently has trouble the aussies, him and Murali will work well on a turning SCG pitch.

poor performance by the indians, they were rolled for 171 at the loss of 9 wickets! perhaps it is a good bowling wicket. dravid's comments seem to suggest so. pathan should get his 2nd 10 wicket hawl. him and zaheer khan got the zealots down to 21/4. they are 39/4 at stumps. the match should be over in the 2nd session tmw.

better showing by bangladesh in their second innings, but they too seem like losing later in the day.

my world XI:
One-Day Squad

* Shahid Afridi
* Virender Sehwag
* Jacques Kallis
* Brian Lara
* Kevin Pietersen
* Andrew Flintoff
* +Kumar Sangakkara
* *Shaun Pollock
* Daniel Vettori
* Shoaib Akhtar
* Muttiah Muralitharan

Test Squad

* *Graeme Smith
* Virender Sehwag
* Rahul Dravid
* Brian Lara
* Jacques Kallis
* Andrew Flintoff
* Shaun Pollock
* +Mark Boucher
* Daniel Vettori
* Steve Harmison
* Muttiah Muralitharan

edit: moved vettori to no. 9 :rolleyes:

no way! murli and harmison have attended a coaching clinic for the last 2 weeks. ;)

j/k.

fixed the order.

edit: i watched the highlights of mcc v world XI tsunami fund raiser match at lords earlier this year. what lacked was proper competition by the world XI bowlers in the first innings, they bowled the entire team, except dravid, the keeper. including lara, smith and chanderpaul :D i think the competition will be awesome in this series, because the aussies have something to prove.

Mhmm.

Anyone a big follower of domestic cricket?

I love the Pura and I'm thinking of making a "I (heart symbol) Krejza" banner to be hilarious.

Dont go to too many of the One dayers though.

I;ve been to one One Dayer at Telstra stadium. It was pretty boring, I remember Doug Bollinger and Don Nash bowling.

I went to a one dayer at Telstra late last year I think. I dont enjoy the one dayers.

But Puras good, cos its always at the SCG. Great ground. But I end up spending 80% of my time at Pura playing out the back near the nets.

Bring back Richard Chee Quee lol, he was a classic. I think he's still around playing grade cricket somewhere.

yes akhtar is in the squad....i pretty much agree with redruM but i dont really want Akhtar. I'd prefer Ntini...we cant ignore Inzy, whos supposedly replacing the injured tendulkar...although Inzy is being bitchy atm and is not 100% certain whether he'll accept the offer to play :p
