We need some emergency mod work-

We have Sourie in non-school that just keeps coming back and polluting that section with racist, inaulting, useless threads & posts.

Then in legal exam thoughts we have some member who has named themself 'Bilal Skaf' (a la gang rapist) posting pornographic images.

There is also a menagerie of other users here that aren't serious, only there to clog uo the system with insulting posts.

All the mods with the power to stop this are busy with uni stuff at the moment, so you need to give a regular user temporary authority to delete these posts. Its the only way.

All this crap is cheapening the image of the forums and is no doubt turning people away who legitimately want to talk about their HSC exams and the like!

i agree that the problem is getting way out of hand.

all the "pollution", as ms 12 put it, definitely is a big turn off for me. since this time there would be a large influx of new members, i dont think it is the best image.

If he/she keeps on reappearing, we can't be around 24-7. However, you (Members) can PM us (Mods) with the offenders, and it should be dealt with ASAP. That all we can do really.

Yeah thats what I mean someone who has been here long enough to trust and that visits at least once everyday like you or Rahul or something that can get rid of these annoying posts!

IMHO, we should make more mods... probly some '02er or a responsible '03er... coz if we got more mods then we can cover all hours of the day (yes, some of you don't sleep, i realise)...

yeah, i also think its a good idea, coz as no. of members increase, so should the amount of mods.

for now, i guess all we can just click on "report this post to a moderator" link, if we do c such a post.

There is discussion about adding authority over non-schools to the ranges of existing mods, but the admins are still in discussion. At the moment we can really only be patient and rely on their making the wisest choice.

Actually I post very little in Non-School these days. Most of my time there is spent reporting idiots. Not to mention members who shit everyone and don't offer anything helpful (ie Ms 12)
