But your tutor did not possess an education degree did he? There are many tutors advertising on BOS who I think will be able to teach far more effectively (with lower price) than a 'Certified' teacher.
no he didn't
what's your point

You went on about how great your tutor was despite his low credentials, then you put "Studying education at Uni or possessing an education degree" as the top option. Surely somebody in your situation would have ranked "Explains concepts clearly regardless of what mark they got in the HSC" as the first preference.

Something isn't adding up here. That's my point.

I had private tutoring for maths since I was in year 9..

I looked for:
-Explains concepts clearly regardless of what mark they got in the HSC
- The cost for tuition
-Location

The others you suggested weren't important to me. What I was looking for was somebody to help me improve at maths, and I found that. It just so happened that she was doing MBBS at Sydney so she was rather smart :p

- Explains concepts clearly regardless of what mark they got in the HSC
- High HSC marks in the subjects they tutor
- High ATAR
- Studying education at Uni or possessing an education degree
- The cost for tuition
