Well if you hate it you will probably find you wont put enough time into it to do it at 3 unit level so 2 unit might be easier. However if you find 3 unit easy then keep it

Mate i would drop it , especially since 4 unit english takes to much time doing ur major work
but then again 3 unit math scales better then 4 unit english

But its useless to worry about scaling if you are doing bad in it or arnt gonna end up putting in the effort

Not everyone is incapable of rudimentary time management.
heh, even doable without that.

Drop it all. I was never a maths fan, and ummed and ahhed about it for far too long before dropping maths - but once I did, the rest of my subjects picked up and my reports looked markedly better without the black spot that was maths.

And every free period thereafter I couldn't get the smile of my face. You too could enjoy such joy without the dullness of maths. Stick to 4unit English, and do something wonderful you'll enjoy and have to remember - don't waste your time with maths.

My company does that to you.

Anyway, yes, drop it. It's an awesome feeling, and Paulus really wasn't exaggerating about being happy every free period from then on.

Yea. Just drop maths altogether. That way you can join the innumerate majority and flounder around in life. Plus, there's the benefit that since you would have dropped maths, it's likely your offspring won't be that good at maths since you hate it yourself and dropped it, thus the viscious cycle continues, ad infinitum, ad nauseum.

Sure, maybe I'm bitter. But I still have a point.

Azzie, you're smart, obviously, and enough of an individual to not follow the two sheep above me. I'm quite sure you know that if you put the effort in, you'd get some rather good results out of it. I say that because of two things: one, you're smart, and two, even the worst dullard can do well in maths if they put enough time and effort into it.

Still, there's the question of units. If keeping extension 1 maths would give you an odd amount of units, there really is no point. In terms of time required to verse gains, an odd amount of units is a bad idea. Of course, by the same token if you have an even number of units WITH EM1, then it is probably a better idea to keep it.

A single extra unit won't do squat to save your UAI if you screw up in another subject.

it all depends on how many units ya doin in total, if 3u is ur 11th unib then keep it cause it will help ya 2unit and it will prob end up countin cause of bos magnificent scalin procedures

just stick wit it 4 now and c how u go even if u do no work in it

Sheep!?

Hey arsehole, I won the Most Memorable Award for my grade's end of school awards! Does that sound like something a sheep could achieve!? I'm so individualistic that many individualistic people indeed have been awestruck by my individualism.

I just wholeheartedly recommend dropping maths because it's a terrible subject and should have been outlawed at the Geneva Convention.

Just like you.

Stay on doing it. It scales well. I was in the same position as you and i stuck with it and ended up getting 90 in 2u and 42 in 3u and i still managed to do really well in my extension units of english. Good luck.

Dont listen to these people. They only dropped maths because they lack intelligence, whereas the case in question is invariablly different.

arguements within Bored. why are we fighting among ourselves like this? it is azzie's decision in the end. only she will know the right answer, whether it is to keep it because she knows she will put in the effort, or spiting whoever she wants to spite. we are here to give her the best advice we can.

what i adivise is think, of any time which you put in the effort and succeeded. if you think you can do it again, try it, and keep going until the wheels really fall off. then drop it.

I read in another thread that it was EM1 which got Acmillan a UAI in the 99's. So maybe, even if you're not planning on a UAI of 99, it wouldn't hurt to keep it even if you'd have an odd amount of units. *shrug*
