As to NTB's remark: AJT is from Ruse; so, if you include her Comp. Lit. success, it's actually three . While we are on that note, AJT ("Quasar") has now 6 units in which she has come first, and another 2 in which she has come second. (I'm guessing she'll be in the top 5 for Biology as well).

I think they do get notified early for the sake of the press. From memory, newspaper articles about the 100.00 UAI students appear on the same day UAIs are released, so the interviews / photographs would have taken place the previous day. I thought this was also the case with the subject toppers.
